1. Collection of Information 

We gather various information about customers and users of the Te Kopu NZ website (the Website) and eConsulting TKL mobile app (Phone App). We collect information to provide better services to all our users. We collect information in two ways:·

 

Information you give us:

  • personal information, provided through voluntary registration or use of the Website/ Phone App (such as your first and last names and email)

  • personal information, provided to us by you for any purchase through the Website (such as credit card number, expiration date and authentication codes or related information)

  • personal information, provided to us by you through any other method (including without limitation correspondence and discussions).

Information we get from the use of our services:

  • information collected by us through click tracking in relation to your use of the Website/ Phone App, including the content you upload and the content you access;

  • and· aggregated data, which tracks traffic to the Website/Phone App; and cookies, which are pieces of information transferred to your computer hard drive for record keeping (such as your preferences on our Website/Phone App).

 

2. Use of Information 

If you participate in an online activity on the Website/Phone App, your personal information will only be used for the purposes of that online activity, unless you otherwise provide us with your consent. We use the information we collect from all of our services to provide, maintain, protect and improve them, develop new services and protect Te Kopu NZ and our users. Information collected enables Te Kopu NZ to offered tailored content.· Any personal information you provide may be used for the following purposes;

  • to send you periodic emails/texts that you have subscribed to through your nominated email address;

  • to obtain feedback on a service or product you have participated in;

  • to contact you as part of the transaction process when entering into a transaction;

  • verification of your identity as a Member of the Website/Phone App;

  • to monitor, develop and improve the Website/Phone App and ensure that content of the Website/Phone App is presented in the most effective manner for the user;

  •  to keep the Website/Phone App relevant and of interest to users;

  •  to investigate any complaints relating to the misuse of the Website/Phone App or misconduct in relation to the Blog Comments;

  • responding to any queries and/or comments you have sent to us; and· such other use that you authorise. You will have the option to choose to not receive certain types of email communications from us, except for those that are absolutely necessary to provide you with details of any purchases you have made. Emails will always contain a link at the bottom to be removed from our mailing list or you can unsubscribe via your account page.· When making an order we also request credit card or other payment account information which are maintained in encrypted form on secure servers. We do not share this information with any third party except for those companies responsible for processing credit card transactions for us.

 

3. Disclosure of Information 

We will only share personal information with other companies or individuals in the following limited circumstances:·

  • to provide the merchant and third party logistics provider with contact and delivery address details for the purpose of delivering your consignment to your chosen address and processing payment;

  • where we have your consent, such as by opting-in to receive communications from third party Merchants in the process of entering into purchasing products or services;

  • to meet any applicable law or enforceable governmental request.

We may share aggregated, non-personally identifiable information, publicly and with our partners-like publishers, advertisers or connected sites e.g. to show trends about the general use of our service.

 

If Te Kopu NZ is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, we will continue to ensure the confidentiality of any personal information and give affected users notice before personal information is transferred.

 

4. Content Providers, Advertisers and Partners 

We do not control the practices of content providers, partners and advertisers connected with the Website/Phone App and to whom you provide personal information whilst using the Website. Our Website contains links to other sites, which may not follow the same privacy policies as us. We recommend that you check any relevant privacy policies before providing your personal information to any third party.

 

5. Security 

As no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit or receive through the Website/Phone App. These activities are conducted at your own risk.

 

6. Changes 

Our Privacy Policy may change from time to time. We will not reduce your rights under this Privacy Policy without your explicit consent. We will post any privacy policy changes on this page and, if the changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice (including, for certain services, email notification of privacy policy changes). We will also keep prior versions of this Privacy Policy in an archive for your review.

 

7. Holding, Correcting and Updating 

Any personal information that you provide to us will be collected and held by us at Te Kopu NZ Ltd, 4 Somerton Drive, Huntington 3210, Hamilton, New Zealand. Under the Privacy Act 1993 you have rights of access to and correction of personal information that we hold. 

 

Although we take reasonable steps to ensure that all data we use is accurate, we depend on our users to update or correct their personal information whenever necessary.
